High-End Client Hosts Important Meetings
For a Manhattan facility that serves as a luxurious place to host diplomats, cultural figures, dignitaries and other notable visitors from around the world, maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the fine rugs and carpets, upholstery, and polished marble floors is of the utmost importance. This high-end client counts on Fabra-Cleen to provide regularly scheduled professional cleaning and maintenance services.
Upholstery Cleaning
Our work begins with the upholstered furniture. We carefully inspect each piece for spots and to determine the appropriate cleaning methods for the material and level of soiling. For this antique love seat, we use a low-moisture cleaning process.
A thin, almost imperceptible layer of dirt and grime that collects on furniture, no matter how clean the owners are, is the main cause of premature wear of upholstery fibers. Although this furniture appears to be clean, it really isn’t, as you can see with the results of this soil test.
“People don’t realize how dirty upholstery is. Ever played in the dirt when you were a kid? What happened if you took some water and poured it on some dirt? What did it turn into? Mud. 95% of what we clean is dry soil.”
— Brian Kornet
Our technicians take plenty of time to thoroughly vacuum BEFORE applying any cleaning solution. We also give the cleaning solution ample dwell-time to allow the enzymes in the cleaner to break down any remaining dirt and grime. When we finish cleaning upholstered furniture, it doesn’t just look and smell clean, it actually IS clean.
Carpet Cleaning
Like upholstery and other fine surfaces, carpeting acts as a filter for dust, dirt, and allergens. We move any moveable furniture and use state-of-the-art equipment with adjustable heat and pressure settings to extract these contaminants and safely clean and sanitize the carpet.
On this particular visit we aren’t scheduled to clean the fine rugs, just an informal office area. Even so, our professional technicians demonstrate the same level of care and attention to detail. For example, dye transfer from furniture legs is possible, even with only slightly damp carpeting. We place protective barriers between table and chair legs and damp carpet fibers, then remove them once the carpet is dry.
Marble Polishing
Our final stop is this elegant marble floor with a decorative inlay. The central location of the marble in this foyer makes it subject to heavy foot traffic, winter salts, and other potentially damaging conditions. Monthly maintenance and polishing keeps this damage in check, eliminating the cost and inconvenience of a complete restoration.
With our regularly scheduled professional services, this client can rest easy knowing we will maintain the elegant quality of his fine surfaces.
